Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Object Storage to design, implement, and extend our internal object storage system. This role targets large-scale deployments and high reliability for AI/ML workloads and research teams.

The candidate should have a strong background in distributed systems with Python/Go/C/C++, a track record of delivering storage components, and excellent communication skills. Relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, with equity and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Consistent track record of developing object storage services and an understanding of data availability, durability, and fault tolerance.
• History of ownership of product delivery from inception to support.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• 8+ yrs of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the design, development, and testing of our object storage system
• Developing storage capabilities to support NVIDIA research teams and other users
• Extending the availability and reliability of our deployments at scale – 10k+ nodes, exabytes of data
• Analyzing and improving system performance at all levels
• Automating storage infrastructure end-to-end including provisioning, management and monitoring
• Making contributions upstream to open source storage codebases
