Accenture Federal Services is seeking a NWS Meteorology Subject Matter Expert to join our team. You will provide specialized meteorological expertise to support the design, development, and implementation of weather forecasting and monitoring applications for federal clients.

The role requires an advanced degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science and at least 12 years’ operational meteorology experience.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years' experience in operational meteorology or weather forecasting.
• Strong understanding of weather models, forecasting techniques, and data systems.

• Provide expert meteorological knowledge to the software development team.
• Translate complex meteorological concepts, models, and algorithms into functional requirements.
• Review and validate application features to ensure scientific accuracy and operational relevance.
• Assist in defining data requirements and visualization standards for weather information.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure applications meet operational forecasting needs.
• Evaluate application prototypes from a meteorological science perspective.
• Contribute to user acceptance testing with focus on meteorological functionality.
• Bridge communication between technical teams and operational meteorologists.
