Briggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead advanced NVH, fatigue, and structural dynamics testing using state-of-the-art MTS hydraulic equipment and electro-dynamic shakers. The role focuses on data-driven design by integrating field data with CAE simulations.

You will drive lab and field tests, perform FDR analyses, correlate test data with FEA, ensure EU Noise Compliance, and mentor junior engineers as you progress toward Engineer IV

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of professional NVH, Fatigue, or Structural Dynamics experience.
• Proficiency with data acquisition systems and field testing methods.

Aufgaben

• Advanced Data Acquisition: lead lab and field test projects using multi-channel instrumentation.
• Field Data Replication (FDR) analysis to convert field data into accelerated lab test profiles.
• NVH & Sound Analysis: modal analysis, TPA, and sound quality optimization.
• Simulation Integration: correlate test data with FEA and 1-D system modeling.
• MTS Fatigue Testing: lead structural validation using hydraulic equipment and software.
• Regulatory Compliance: EU Noise testing and documentation for Notified Body.
• Warranty Reduction: identify failure modes via Reliability and Fatigue Damage Analysis.
• Engineer development: grow into Engineer IV responsibilities, mentoring juniors.
