The Landings of Swansboro is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and support nutritious, high‑quality meals for residents. You will assist with meal service, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and help ensure safe food handling and a positive dining experience.

This role emphasizes teamwork, compassion for the elderly, and strong communication with residents and staff. Ideal candidates may have prior food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a food service role is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: help prepare, portion, and serve meals according to dietary plans and requests.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: maintain kitchen and dining areas, wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident support: assist with meal setup and serving for a positive dining experience.
• Food safety: follow all food safety protocols for safe storage and handling.
• Inventory support: assist receiving and storing food, notify shortages to Dietary Manager.
• Team collaboration: work with dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Resident engagement: fulfill special dietary requests and respect residents' preferences.
