Job summary

The Landings of Oak Island is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience in a compassionate environment.

Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation, plus a desire to help the elderly, are essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Able to follow directions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans.
• Sanitation: maintain kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident support: assist with meal setup and serving for a positive experience.
• Food safety: follow storage, handling, and sanitation protocols.
• Inventory: assist in receiving, storing, and reporting shortages.
• Team collaboration: support dietary team to ensure smooth operations.
• Resident engagement: fulfill special dietary requests and preferences.
