Job summary

The Landings of Lake Gaston is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will assist with meal service, follow dietary plans, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a genuine desire to work with the elderly. Prior food service experience is welcome, but not required, and we offer ongoing development and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Assist in meal setup and serving to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols including storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Resident Engagement: Fulfill special dietary requests and respect residents' preferences.
