Job summary

MetroSys, Inc. seeks a Senior Nutanix Solutions Architect to lead a large-scale enterprise infrastructure migration.

You will act as the primary technical authority, evaluating current infrastructure and designing the target Nutanix environment, while guiding engineering and migration teams. The role requires deep Nutanix HCI expertise, virtualization modernization, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable infrastructure designs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise infra, virtualization, or data center architecture experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing Nutanix HCI solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism Central, Prism Element.
• Proven leadership in large-scale enterprise virtualization or migration projects.
• Deep understanding of VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V with Nutanix AHV involvement.
• Experience across compute, storage, networking, and infra integration.
• Ability to develop migration strategies for complex production environments.
• Experience with HA, DR, backup, and business continuity designs.
• Strong capacity planning, performance optimization, and scalability skills.
• Experience leading cross-discipline technical teams and migrations.
• Exceptional client-facing communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to balance architecture duties with hands-on oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, planning, and design of large-scale migration to Nutanix HCI.
• Assess existing virtualization, compute, storage, networking, and dependencies to set requirements.
• Design scalable Nutanix environments using AOS, AHV, Prism Central, and related tech.
• Develop migration strategy, workload sequencing, cutover planning, and risk mitigation.
• Architect migrations from VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or other environments to Nutanix AHV.
• Define Nutanix cluster architecture, capacity, resources, storage, and network integration.
• Establish standards, documentation, methodologies, and implementation best practices.
• Provide technical leadership to Nutanix engineers and infrastructure teams during deployment.
• Evaluate migration tooling (e.g., Nutanix Move) and determine approaches by requirements.
• Design backup, DR, replication, and business continuity within Nutanix environment.
• Identify risks and performance bottlenecks before implementation.
• Lead design reviews, workshops, and readiness discussions with stakeholders.
• Serve as escalation resource for complex migration and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with app owners, network, security, and leadership for platform integration.
• Oversee post-migration validation, optimization, and transition to operations.
• Deliver architecture diagrams, design docs, roadmaps, and knowledge transfer materials.
