Job summary

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking a Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II to oversee the Internal Quality Assurance (QA) Unit within the Standards Interpretation Branch. The role will develop, implement, and monitor statewide QA projects and activities, ensuring compliance with State, Federal, licensing and certification standards, and local laws.

The NSS II collaborates with District Offices and program staff to improve QA outputs, with 5% travel and hybrid telework.

Qualifications

• Desirable Qualifications: Experience leading or participating in planning, development, and presentation of QA results and trends.
• Experience elevating nursing care/healthcare provider operations quality.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare facility compliance laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, reviews of QA reports, surveys and correspondence for QA projects.
• Collaborate with program staff to identify training needs for field and support staff.
• Make recommendations to NSs/QA Specialists and District Offices based on QA findings.
