Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Three (3) years of nursing experience.
• Certifications (i.e. ACLS, PALS) relevant to the department and type of care being provided may be required.
• Five (5) years of nursing experience (preferred).
• Specialty nursing certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced nursing knowledge to manage a caseload.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care in clinical area.
• Performs procedures and treatments per guidelines.
• Orders and administers drugs with pharmacology knowledge.
• Writes clear initial and follow-up notes.
• Plans home care and follow-up.
• Initiates referrals and consultations as indicated.
• Facilitates family and team meetings.
• Maintains collaboration with peers for optimal outcomes.
• Act as a nursing leader and role model.
