Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Master's degree required.
• 4-6 years satisfactory clinical nurse-midwifery experience may be substituted for a master's degree.
• OHS Fit Test required.
• OHS annual assessment required.
• Current New York State RN license required.
• Current NY Midwifery license required.
• Prescriptive rights certification by NYSED required.
• Current DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, manages antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients in Labor & Delivery.
• Takes pertinent history and performs physical/pelvic exams.
• Orders labs/tests, analyzes results, and provides counseling.
• Identifies risks and develops management plans; documents care.
• Assumes responsibility for patient care during labor and delivery.
