Job summary

Berkley Medical Management Solutions (BMMS) in Minnesota is hiring a nurse case management leader to drive a high-performing managed care team focused on timely, quality worker’s compensation outcomes. The role requires a valid RN license, strong coaching and leadership skills, and experience with case management processes.

This full-time position emphasizes advancing nursing competencies, timekeeping discipline, and collaborative work with Berkley operating units.

Qualifications

Must possess a current RN license.
Proven coaching and leadership skills.
Full working knowledge of Nursing Scope of Practice.
Excellent listening, communication, and writing skills.
Experienced with Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, either formal or informal.
Experienced with worker’s compensation case management preferred.
Must be self-directed, professional, and proficient in advocacy.
Must demonstrate leadership qualities consistent with BMMS Innovative behaviors.

Responsibilities

Lead by example to support a highly functioning synergistic managed care team.
Provides Service Recovery using the BMMS Cultural Values and per BMMS Policy and Procedures as a foundation.
Assists in the development of nursing competencies, manages competencies to ensure proficiency, and assesses each team member annually.
Assume case management responsibilities to assist staff in maintaining timely case management services and to provide vacation coverage.
Interview and facilitate hiring of new nurse case managers and BMMS team members.
Orient all new hires.
Oversees and ensures proper timekeeping and payroll timecard entries.
Prepare performance evaluations; provide counseling and goal setting.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, team members, leadership, vendors and the Berkley operating units to further BMMS’ mission and reputation in the managed care community.
Timely reports any trends, changes, or suggested enhancements to senior leadership.
Maintains a professional presence, at all times, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clients.
Culturally competent with a focus on creating a culture of psychological safety.
Completes assigned tasks and projects timely, efficiently, and with accuracy.
Must be flexible and adaptable to an evolving work environment.
