Job summary

H2C (Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure) is seeking a Nuclear Safety Engineer to contribute to the safety basis development and USQ evaluation for the Hanford Site. You will lead hazard analyses, assist in DSA/TSR development, and ensure proper application of DOE safety standards within design changes and major modifications.

The role requires extensive experience in regulatory compliance and engineering analysis, with a focus on safety evaluation and control selection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• 8+ years related experience for Grade 19.
• 10+ years related experience for Grade 20.
• 12+ years related experience for Grade 21.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Nuclear Safety department in control decision meetings.
• Participate in hazard analysis and control selection.
• Support development of consequence analysis and frequency determination.
• Maintain qualification as a Nuclear Safety Engineer and USQ evaluator.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSA and TSR format and content requirements.
