Job summary

RSI EnTech, LLC seeks a Nuclear Safety Engineer for the Savannah River Site to oversee safety evaluations and safety basis documents across design, construction, and startup phases. The role emphasizes strong regulatory knowledge and multi-disciplinary coordination.

The position requires extensive experience with complex nuclear projects, USQ evaluations, and security oversight, with an emphasis on DOE/10 CFR regulatory compliance. U.S. citizenship and clearances are typical prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Experience on large complex nuclear projects (>$100M) with multi-discipline integration.
• Experience developing Safety Evaluation Reports to approve Safety Basis Documents per 10CFR830 Subpart B.
• Commercial Nuclear Safety experience per 10CFR50 is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to develop or approve USQ Evaluations.
• Savannah River Site experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for Nuclear Safety Federal Evaluations and Safety Basis Documents (PDSA, PSVR, DSA, SER, TSRs).
• Support nuclear safety integration during design, construction, and changes.
• Perform walkdowns of safety structures, systems, and components.
• Oversee security programs: physical, information, cyber, personnel security and material control.
• Support construction oversight of security-related structures and systems.
• Deliver assessment plans, briefings, and reports.
