Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Engineer II to join the Rod Control and Position Indication Systems team. You will support lifecycle management, spare parts, obsolescence assessments, and troubleshooting across RC & RPI equipment used in nuclear plants worldwide.

The role involves collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and customers, with limited travel (<10%). Reports to the Manager, RC & RPI Systems, and no relocation is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering with electrical or mechanical focus.
• Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical docs.
• Knowledge of RC & RPI systems or reactor protection systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support lifecycle management and spare parts programs for RC & RPI Systems.
• Evaluate spare parts requirements and provide replacement recommendations.
• Assess component obsolescence and propose suitable replacements.
• Prepare engineering documents, including design change packages and procurement specs.
• Troubleshoot RC & RPI equipment and support outages.
• Interface with customers to resolve technical questions and field issues.
• Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, QA, and project mgmt for parts delivery.
• Support testing for upgrades and new builds.
• Review and revise drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, schematics, and specs.
