Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Shippingport, PA seeks a Major Projects Operations Manager to oversee the operations scope of a major project, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and integration with plant systems.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate modifications for system compatibility, and drive independent operational reviews while aligning with NRC and INPO standards. Travel for project support is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 15 years of engineering experience in nuclear power with 5+ years in leadership.
• Shift Technical Advisor (STA) qualified.
• Experience with Ops Impacts, evaluations, training, procedures, site coordination.
• Strong knowledge of NRC regulations, INPO guidelines, and industry standards.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams on high-complexity projects.
• Willingness to travel for project support.

Responsibilities

• Provide Operations oversight and technical direction for design, modification, and testing.
• Coordinate interconnecting modifications for system compatibility and readiness.
• Direct and approve Operations reviews to align with nuclear safety/licensing.
• Manage support contracts to maintain quality, scope, and schedule.
• Lead Independent Operational Reviews to validate design and compliance.
• Interface with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure deliverables meet NRC/INPO.
• Drive timely resolution of technical issues to support milestones.
• Ensure designs support long-term operability and seamless plant integration.
