Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year AMA approved training program in Radiologic technology or the equivalent plus completion of a 1 year AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology School.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the NMTCB must be completed within 90 days of completion of Accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
• CPR certification must also be completed within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear studies and procedures.
• Performs computerized nuclear cardiology procedures.
• Operates all specialized equipment and maintains isotope agent records.
• Contributes to patient education and communicates pertinent information to attending physicians and radiologist.
