Wonderful opportunity to join a growing company in a newly established role, based in the picturesque Otago region of NZ.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our region as we open our new branch with PET-CT facilities.

This is a newly created permanent position as we work towards adding Diagnostic Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans to our comprehensive services at Pacific Radiology Otago and Southland. The role will also include Diagnostic CT scanning.

We are seeking someone excited by the challenge and possibilities of shaping this new service and establishing this important imaging pathway for our patients. The ideal candidate will be proactive in setting up the service, as this role is vital to making the new service operational.

About You

Ideally, the successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Medical Imaging Technologist, registered with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board, holding a current practicing certificate.
• Training in Nuclear Medicine and CT.
• Competence in conducting a full range of routine and complex procedures and quality assurance in PET-CT.
• Ability to perform IV cannulation.
• Knowledge of the practical and legislative requirements of Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT practice.
• Professional judgment in performance, service provision, and duty allocation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective communication skills with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Flexible, self-motivated team player.
• Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality.
