Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a skilled outage sponsor and technical support lead for its nuclear maintenance operations. The role functions as the single point of contact for supplemental outage workforce, providing technical direction, budget oversight, and field coordination in a high-stakes, safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities include analyzing field problems, interfacing with engineering, NOS, NRC, INPO and EPRI, and guiding complex evolutions to timely, compliant resolutions.

Qualifications

• High School/GED degree is required.
• 8 years related work experience are required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in Operating Nuclear Station Environment is required.
• 4 years of work-related experience demonstrating broad technical knowledge in related areas is required.

Responsibilities

• Single point of contact for supplemental workforce including station oversight for contingent workforce, communicating work standards and expectations.
• Determines workforce numbers, work durations and training; overall work coordination and field support; monitors safety, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence.
• Provides technical direction for area of responsibility; conducts pre-outage communication and post-outage lessons learned; manages budgets for workforce, materials and equipment costs.
• Reviews procedures, supports problem evaluation, and coordinates with engineering, NOS, NRC, INPO, and external regulators.
