Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation seeks a Senior Nuclear Licensing Engineer in the New Nuclear Generation group to lead regulatory documents and liaise with the NRC and other agencies. This role requires deep licensing expertise and the ability to work independently on complex projects.

The successful candidate will oversee vendor document reviews, contribute to procedure development, and engage in industry meetings.

Qualifications

• Nuclear power plant experience required.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree or PE.
• Master's degree may substitute for BS in some cases; PE may be required at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regulatory documents for NRC, DOE, and state agencies.
• Interface with NRC, DOE, and other agencies during regulatory engagements.
• Review vendor documents and resolve regulatory issues.
• Develop and revise procedures following company policies.
• Participate in Emergency Response Organization (ERO) activities.
• Represent Duke Energy on industry groups and working committees.
