Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Nuclear IT Application Architect to work 100% on-site at the client site in Jupiter, FL. This contract role requires relocation as needed and starts ASAP.

You will own enterprise application architecture design and governance, lead architecture reviews, evaluate vendor risk, and drive regulatory documentation and TYK API gateway migrations within a Nuclear IT context.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of enterprise application architecture experience.
• Experience with architecture reviews and impact assessments.
• Nuclear regulatory compliance documentation experience.
• Vendor risk assessment and technical evaluations.
• Experience with API gateway migrations (TYK) and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and regulatory governance.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture design and guidance for enterprise applications.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with standards.
• Drive vendor risk assessment and document management system initiatives.
• Lead governance for Nuclear IT platforms, including Gemini and Bifrost.
• Maintain regulatory compliance documentation as new platforms are introduced.
• Standardize security onboarding for contractors and non-US personnel.
• Lead API gateway migrations and assess impact on core systems.

Type: Temporary Project

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions

Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture design, guidance and version-support for a suite of enterprise business applications, assessing upgrade impact, patches, and enablement requests.
• Directly responsible for developing application architecture and leading architecture reviews, partnering with the enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment with corporate-level standards and guidance.
• Lead vendor risk assessment and architecture review for a document management system replacement initiative, including capability gap analysis, ROM/proposal evaluation, and technical ownership through implementation.
• Drive architecture governance and nuclear regulatory compliance for the Nuclear AI Platform strategy, covering Bifrost credential/readiness requirements and Gemini enablement.
• Maintain and update nuclear regulatory compliance documentation as new platforms (e.g., Gemini) and processes are introduced.
• Standardize and maintain the security onboarding process for contractors and non-US personnel supporting Nuclear IT engagements.
• Lead architecture impact assessments for API gateway migrations (e.g., migration to TYK) affecting core nuclear business systems.
