System One is seeking a Senior Fuel Handling System Design Engineer for a contract assignment in Bellevue, WA. You will lead design activities, coordinate with disciplines, oversee supplier work, and contribute to plant system qualifications and licensing efforts.

Aufgaben

• Design nuclear fuel handling systems from requirements through final design review.
• Develop thermal, seismic, structural, pipe stress, heat transfer analyses and integrate results into plant design.
• Provide design direction related to thermal and fluid design requirements.
• Identify and ensure application of design codes (ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA).
• Analyze and allocate regulatory criteria to complex mechanical and process system designs.
• Support planning and maintain schedule adherence for design activities within a system.
• Interface with design team to create and manage P&IDs, 3D models, and system interface drawings.
• Coordinate with disciplines to develop plant design information and specify design criteria.
• Provide technical oversight of supplier projects and conduct design reviews.
• Establish system requirements and engineering design specifications for major equipment.
• Propose testing programs for plant system qualification and oversee testing.
• Generate design packages including calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop and review System Design Descriptions and Interface Control Documents.
• Support licensing activities for Safety Analysis Reports.
• Participate in design reviews as plant system designs are established and refined.
