Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced System Engineer to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of fuel handling facilities at the Naval Reactors Facility site. The role emphasizes steel and concrete structural components and related equipment.

The ideal candidate will hold a related technical/engineering degree with extensive experience, and familiarity with nuclear facility codes (ASCE 43, ACI 349, AISC N690) and DOE standards. U.S. citizenship and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in a technical/engineering/science field with multiple years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of ASCE 43, ACI 349, AISC N690 and DOE standards is preferred.
• Familiarity with NPH design criteria and analyses is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of NRF fuel handling facilities.
