Job summary

newcleo is seeking a highly experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to develop and manage the physical and cybersecurity programs at a nuclear fuel fabrication facility. You will protect personnel, materials, information, and critical assets while ensuring compliance with DOE and company security requirements.

You will oversee security personnel and systems, conduct threat assessments, manage access control, cyber monitoring, incident response, and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, military service, law enforcement experience, or security management experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in industrial security, nuclear security, or related fields.
• Experience managing physical security programs and incident responses in highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain facility security plans and procedures.
• Verify personnel security clearances and manage access control for designated areas.
• Direct secure handling of restricted data and ensure compliance with DOE inspections.
• Conduct security and cyber vulnerability assessments and coordinate with IT teams.
• Deliver security training and threat-awareness programs to staff.
