Job summary

Blykalla in Austin, TX, is seeking a Nuclear Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen design quality for a first-of-a-kind lead-cooled reactor program. You will embed QA into engineering, translate requirements into design controls, and verify that evidence supports critical decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance, design quality, or formal design controls.
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical engineering environments.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, calculations, and docs.
• Experience with document control, design reviews, change management.
• Ability to raise quality concerns and work with engineers to resolve them.
• Practical approach to building processes in a growing org.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support design control processes for inputs, outputs, reviews, verification, interfaces, and changes.
• Review engineering deliverables for compliance and records.
• Ensure design verification is planned, documented, and independent where required.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, outputs, and verification evidence.
• Support configuration management and document control from approved information.
• Identify and resolve quality issues and track corrective actions.
• Conduct or support internal assessments and supplier quality reviews.
• Develop and improve quality procedures, templates, and training.
• Coordinate with procurement and supplier quality to communicate design requirements.
