Job summary

KLA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Milpitas, CA, to lead New Product Introduction and manufacturing transfer for advanced eBeam systems. You will bridge Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Global Operations to ensure smooth production handoffs from development to ramped production.

The role requires a strong systems-level background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive complex programs across global teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in physics, EE, ME, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or related fields.
• Strong systems-level understanding of complex electromechanical products and manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with autonomy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI and manufacturing transfer programs from engineering through production release.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering and Program teams to develop beta and pilot builds for new eBeam products.
• Ensure product designs, BOMs, and configurations are production-ready during early development.
• Participate in design reviews to improve manufacturability, reduce cost, and enable operational readiness.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and external partners on supplier selection, outsourcing strategies, cost analysis, and RFQ activities.
• Manage engineering materials, prototype hardware, tooling, and critical components for development, beta builds, and field upgrades.
• Drive ECO implementation and design updates across sites and suppliers.
• Develop and execute complex project plans across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Analyze technical and operational data to identify process improvements and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Provide DFM recommendations to influence product designs for quality and reliability.
• Develop and improve system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation processes.
• Support field escalations, beta site activities, and customer installations requiring deep product knowledge.
• Present technical recommendations and status to engineering and operations leadership.
