Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an experienced NPD Quality Lead to drive quality in new commercial chillers and data center thermal systems. You will own quality across development through launch, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to address risks early and close action items.

You will lead design reviews, APQP milestones, Pass ports, and PPAP readiness while mentoring teams and reporting progress to executives. 25% domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience supporting new product development, product launches, or quality activities in a complex manufacturing environment.
• ASQ CQE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated NPD Quality lead for Commercial Cooling Chillers and related system platforms.
• Provide end-to-end Quality ownership from development through production launch and sustaining quality.
• Lead Quality activities across design reviews, APQP milestones, Passport gate reviews, and PPAP readiness.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Review data (FPY, defects, test failures) to drive root-cause investigations.
• Provide guidance on risk management and escalate gaps as needed.
• Drive lessons learned and Look Across deployments to prevent repeats across programs.
• Communicate readiness, risks, and status to teams and leadership using Excel/PowerPoint.
• Mentor other Quality team members.
