Job summary

Moog's Military Aircraft Group seeks a Senior New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality Engineer to lead quality planning and execution across the NPI lifecycle in Buffalo, NY. You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers to ensure new aerospace products are qualified and transitioned to production with the highest quality.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in quality engineering within manufacturing, strong APQP and statistical methods knowledge, and the ability to drive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application to quality improvement and process control.
Experience using quality and business software tools, including statistical, spreadsheet, database, and reporting applications.
Working knowledge of aerospace quality standards and APQP.

Responsibilities

Lead quality activities throughout product development, qualification, and production launch.
Interpret customer and contractual quality requirements and ensure flow-down across the organization.
Support design reviews and influence product development through quality, manufacturing, and risk-based decision making.
Drive APQP activities and support AS9145-compliant product development processes.
Develop and implement inspection strategies for receiving, manufacturing, assembly, test, and final inspection operations.
Lead statistical analysis, process monitoring, variation reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct failure investigations and support root cause and corrective action activities.
Support qualification testing, conformity inspections, PPAP documentation, and production readiness activities.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders on quality-related matters.
Drive product and process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
