Job summary
Form Energy in Weirton, WV is hiring an NPI Project Engineer to own mechanical product and process changes from concept to production. Based in Operations Engineering, you’ll partner with the Technical Program Manager to land changes in a controlled, quality-safe, and schedule-conscious way.
This role offers relocation assistance and a path to shape manufacturing systems for long-duration energy storage. You’ll build workflows, define trial governance, and ensure smooth cutovers while aligning
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI, or engineering change management.
- Experience managing product or process changes into a live manufacturing line.
- Hands-on familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end introduction of mechanical changes into the manufacturing line.
- Map incoming engineering changes against production line state to identify risks.
- Lead production trials for new or modified designs with defined criteria.
- Coordinate cutover planning across engineering, supply chain, warehouse, and production.
- Translate engineering changes into manufacturing execution language (work orders, BOM updates).
- Maintain change visibility and milestone tracking with TPM.
- Be the operations voice in design reviews and change control processes.
- Help develop NPI systems and standards as this function matures.
