Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Staff Manufacturing Engineer to own the end-to-end manufacturing ecosystem for multi-megawatt battery systems at our new 550,000 sq ft facility in Weirton, WV.

You will lead from early prototyping to high-volume production, partnering with design to ensure manufacturability and scale. Relocation assistance is available and the team emphasizes humanity, excellence, and creativity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in manufacturing, equipment, or automation engineering in electro-mechanical or battery assembly settings.
• Proven ability to source, buy, commission and qualify custom automated lines from external integrators.
• DFM/DFA background with strong cross-functional influence to shape designs.
• Hands-on mindset, moving between vendor strategy and on-floor debugging.
• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience with welding (metal/plastic), machine vision, human-assist automation, or MES integration.
• Prior work in hyper-growth hardware startups or greenfield facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end manufacturing ecosystem for multi-megawatt battery systems.
• Lead strategy, selection, build, and deployment of assembly equipment from prototype to high-volume lines.
• Partner with design engineers to shape battery cell designs for manufacturability.
• Select, negotiate with, and lead external equipment integrators and vendors.
• Install, commission, qualify, and ramp production line equipment with safe, reliable processes.
