Job summary

Semtech’s New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Engineering Team is seeking a Sr. NPI Product Engineer to own NPI activities from concept to launch and beyond, driving cross-functional collaboration across design, validation, and operations.

You will lead DfM/DfT, product characterization, DOE, yield optimization, and cost modeling, ensuring datasheet specs are met and seamless transfer to high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in semiconductor technology, product/test and/or design engineering.
• Experience with quality systems including corrective actions, 8D reports and failure analyses.
• Proficiency in statistical tools for DOE, yield reporting and modelling.
• Experience with high-speed ATE platforms (Advantest, Teradyne) or equivalents.
• Knowledge of high-speed serial interconnect components and test methodologies.
• Familiarity with JEDEC and Mil quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from concept through final product release and transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
• Drive design for testability/manufacturability (DfT/DfM) and support test programs.
• Develop characterization plans, DOE studies, yield analysis, and cost models.
• Drive manufacturing quality, failure analysis and continuous improvement.
