Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Sr NPI Engineer - Power Conversion in Fremont, CA, with 4x per week onsite and frequent visits to San Jose. You will drive new product introductions from concept to mass production, focusing on DFX, manufacturability, cost, reliability, and scalability.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in NPI, strong DFX, cross-functional project management, and experience with Lean Six Sigma. You will collaborate with suppliers, define SOPs, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
8+ years of New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
Strong DFX expertise and knowledge of manufacturability, cost, and scalability.

Responsibilities

Lead DFX initiatives to optimize manufacturability, assembly, cost, and reliability.
Develop and execute NPI project plans with milestones and risks.
Conduct DFM/DFA reviews with design/engineering teams.
Collaborate with suppliers/CMs to assess production readiness and drive improvements.
Establish testing/validation protocols in line with standards.
Identify bottlenecks during prototype, pilot, and production phases.
Develop SOPs, assembly guidelines, and process documentation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to align goals and execution.
