Job summary

Blue Bridge People seeks an experienced Senior Product Development Engineer to lead new product development for industrial machinery in a collaborative R&D team.

This hands-on role designs and validates complex machinery, mentors engineers, and helps shape the future of capital equipment while coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and customers.

Travel occasional to customer and supplier sites to support applications and ensure successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 15+ years designing industrial machinery or capital equipment.
• Proven track record leading products from concept to production.
• Strong machine design knowledge and engineering principles.
• Experience with welded fabrications, castings, gearboxes, rotating equipment, and strength of materials.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks (or Creo/NX/Inventor).
• Experience with FEA, FMEA, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers while contributing hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development projects from concept through production.
• Design and improve complex industrial machinery and systems.
• Perform engineering analyses using FEA, FMEA, DFM and related methods.
• Serve as technical resource and guide engineering teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and review their work.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, field service, and customers.
• Support design changes and continuous product innovation.
• Travel occasionally to customer and supplier sites to support development.
