Job summary

Community Concepts, Inc. in Lewiston, ME seeks a highly qualified Controller to lead daily accounting operations and financial reporting. This full-time position reports to the CFO and oversees GL, AR, AP, and grant accounting across multiple funding sources including Head Start programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA preferred.
• 5-7 years of related work experience in a leadership/managerial role.
• Strong internal controls and grant accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations (GL, AR, AP) to guide financial decisions.
• Oversee internal controls and safeguard assets.
• Manage grant accounting for multiple funding sources.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Collaborate with auditors and CFO/CEO.
