Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is a national firm focused on nonprofits, with 8500 employees across over 130 offices. We seek a Nonprofit Controller for our Client Accounting and Advisory Service (CAAS) to work in our Orlando or SW Florida office and support our nonprofit clients.

You will develop internal controls, oversee budgeting and financial reporting, monitor KPIs, and advise leadership on financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 6 years of relevant accounting experience; nonprofit experience preferred.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Travel frequently to client sites; overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budget, cash, and accounting.
• Direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities; prepare financial information.
• Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements and reports for regulatory agencies.
• Evaluate needs for funds and investment of surpluses; make recommendations.
• Monitor KPI and performance of accounting staff; implement actions.
• Advise management on financial objectives and policies; monitor trends.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors; prepare for board presentations.
