Job summary

SB & Company, LLC is seeking an audit professional to join the Emerging Entities team, focusing on non-profit organizations and women- and minority-owned businesses. You will support audit engagements from planning through wrap-up, coaching junior staff, and addressing issues with senior management.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of public accounting audit experience, a degree in accounting, and progress toward CPA certification; non-profit audit experience is a strong plus, with solid

Qualifications

• Two or more years public accounting experience as an audit professional.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification with a minimum of two exam sections passed.
• Experience auditing non-profits is a strong plus.
• Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, review experience a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as good computer skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning and wrap up activities.
• Coaches more junior members of Emerging Entities team assigned to assist during an engagement.
• Reviews work performed by Staff on standard testing and related substantive testing.
• Perform required financial controls assessment and related analytics.
• Communicates identified issues with senior management to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
• Complete GAAS compliance checklist.
