The Emerging Entities team supports non-profit organizations and women- and minority-owned businesses, helping refine business models and improve efficiency through strategic use of people, technology, and operations.

The role ensures successful completion of audit engagements from start to finish, mentors junior team members, and applies risk and control concepts.

Qualifications

• Two or more years public accounting experience as an audit professional.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• CPA or progress toward CPA with a minimum of two exam sections passed.
• One or more years in-charging audit engagements.
• Understanding of audit services with knowledge of FASB and GAAS.
• Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation; review experience a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; good computer skills.
• Experience auditing non-profits a strong plus.
• Experience within an internal audit environment preferred.
• Experience working on Engagement, QuickBooks and Bill.com a plus.

Responsabilités

• Reviews work performed by Staff on standard testing and related substantive testing.
• Completes on-site testing required for assigned clients including control, operations, and fraud assessments.
• Perform required financial controls assessment and related analytics.
• Complete testing required by Engagement Director relative to the risks areas identified.
• Complete review of initial draft of financial statements.
• Complete GAAS compliance checklist.

As part of the Emerging Entities team, you will work alongside a highly skilled and dynamic group focused on supporting non-profit organizations and women- and minority-owned businesses. Together, the team helps clients refine business models, enhance revenue opportunities, and improve efficiency through strategic use of people, technology, operational expertise, and forward-thinking solutions.

Ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning and wrap up activities. Coaches more junior members of Emerging Entities team assigned to assist during an engagement. Applies risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identifies any potential issues. Communicates identified issues with senior management to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner

• One or more years "in-charging" audit engagements
• Understanding of audit services with knowledge of FASB and GAAS
• Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, review experience a plus
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as good computer skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven ability to draft financial statements
• Experience auditing non-profits a strong plus.
• Experience within an internal audit environment preferred.
• Experience working on Engagement, Quick-books and Bill.com a plus
