Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate - Nonprofit Industry to join our CAAS group in Colorado. You will work with nonprofit clients, manage accounts payable and receivable, handle month‑end close activities, and assist with financial statements and audit workpapers.

This role emphasizes accurate bookkeeping, internal controls, and timely delivery of client deliverables. Requirements include 2 years of relevant accounting or financial experience and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting/financial experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required; related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Client service: understand client operations and manage multiple clients and accounts.
• Day to day transactions: oversee AP, cash disbursements, AR, cash receipts, payroll postings.
• Month end processing: coordinate reconciliations and prepare/ review financial statements.
• Other quarterly/annual processing: prepare sales tax returns, Form 1099s, and audit workpapers.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of associates and analysts.
• Assist with internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other projects.
