Job summary

The Catholic-Diocese-of-Baton-Roug seeks a dedicated Accountant to manage financial records for the Child Nutrition Program in our Baton Rouge office. The role covers daily to yearly transactions, journal entries, and compliance with diocesan guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business and accounting/bookkeeping.
• Experience with nonprofit or educational organizations preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Reconcile the general ledger and bank accounts regularly.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, and billing processes.
• Coordinate audits and ensure regulatory compliance across programs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the CNP.
