Job summary

Apple is seeking a Senior Noise & Vibration Engineer to join the Acoustic team. You will author SOPs, test plans and specifications, quantify noises, and educate cross-functional teams to implement best practices in lab and factory environments.

You will work with partner facilities overseas but travel is expected to be minimal. Requires a Master’s or higher in ME/EE/Acoustics and 2–5 years in high-volume product development focusing on acoustic validation and vibration mitigation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Acoustics or equivalent field.
• 2–5 years minimum experience in high-volume product development which include acoustic design validation as well as vibration mitigation design.

Responsibilities

• Author SOPs, test plans and specifications.
• Quantify noises and facilitate user studies.
• Establish thresholds in lab and factory environments.
• Educate multi-functional teams to implement standard methodologies and run studies.
• Lead validation work and drive technology initiatives; travel minimally.
