Job summary

Kake is a remote-first company building scalable software for a global community of senior engineers. We’re seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node/React) to own end-to-end features and architecture in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering with Node.js and React, strong API design skills, and experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms. This is a remote, independent contractor role with strong emphasis on collaboration with product and design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Node.js and React.
• Experience designing and versioning REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Strong system-design and data modelling skills.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production features end-to-end across Node.js backends and React frontends.
• Design, build, and version REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Make architecture decisions around data modelling and component design.
• Model and query data across relational and NoSQL stores.
• Write clean, well-tested code and set up observability.
