You will work on Node.js/TypeScript services, Next.js API routes, and the data layer with a system-level focus on performance, security, and HIPAA compliance.

The role pairs with frontend and mobile teams on API contracts, emphasizes architecture, and drives standards for code quality, testing, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with primary backend expertise.
• Deep proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and Next.js (API routes).
• Strong relational and document database design experience; cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead backend architecture and API design for scalable systems.
• Own complex backend features using Node.js/TypeScript with production quality code.
• Develop Node.js services and Next.js API routes with solid interfaces and security.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to the Node sub-team.
• Own backend performance, testing strategy, and CI/CD practices with HIPAA-conscious security.
