Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in networking (IP or optical transport).
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Security+ CE certification (required).
• Strong experience with Cisco and Juniper technologies.
• MPLS, IP networking, and routing protocols.
• Optical transport networks (SONET/SDH, MSPP).
• Incident response and network operations.
• Network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
• Ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA).
• Knowledge of telecom environments including ISP/OSP and Telco NOC operations.
• Experience with circuit management, nodes, and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of customer circuits across optical and electro-optical multiplexers, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore connectivity during outages or maintenance activities.
• Monitor network alarms using platform-specific management tools and proactively address issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external customers, and government agencies to ensure network availability and minimize operational impact.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacement, software configuration, and ASI management.
• Document incidents using ticketing and incident management systems, including outage analysis, escalation, and resolution tracking.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across technologies such as routing, switching, MPLS, and optical transport systems.
