Job summary

Kavaliro seeks a NOC Engineer III to support the Joint Fires Network (JFN), a DoD battle-management system. This role maintains and optimizes network performance across optical and IP transport to ensure maximum uptime and mission effectiveness.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in networking, TS clearance with SCI eligibility, Security+ CE, plus Cisco/Juniper, MPLS, and optical transport experience. Collaborate with government partners, monitor alarms, and document incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of networking experience, including 3+ years in IP or optical transport.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility; Security+ CE certification required.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper technologies; MPLS and routing protocols.
• Knowledge of telecom environments including ISP/OSP and Telco NOC operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure and analyze customer circuits across optical and IP networks.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore connectivity.
• Monitor network alarms and address issues using management tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and government agencies to ensure availability.
• Execute change management: hardware replacement and software configuration.
• Document incidents with ticketing systems, including outage analysis and escalation.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, MPLS, and optical transports.
