DrFirst is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead NLP and ML initiatives, partnering with clinicians and engineers to deploy models at scale. You will own end-to-end ML projects, from problem framing to monitoring, ensuring HIPAA compliance and robust data pipelines.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with LLMs, event-driven data, and production-grade systems on AWS. A strong background in NLP and Python/SQL is required, with experience in deploying models and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, and NLP, with a track record of delivering models into production.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Pipeline development and orchestration with dbt, Airflow, and AWS data services (Glue, DMS, Lambda, S3).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: production-quality Python, Git, containerization, CI/CD.
• Experience deploying models on AWS (SageMaker, MLflow) and LLM-powered apps (Claude via Bedrock, retrieval/RAG).
• Proven ability to scope ambiguous problems and lead projects.

Aufgaben

• Own AI, ML, and NLP initiatives end to end from framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Apply LLMs to automate high-volume workflows with latency and throughput considerations.
• Define evaluation datasets and pipelines; measure quality and catch regressions.
• Build data foundations including production-grade pipelines and feature datasets (PostgreSQL, Redshift).
• Collaborate with clinicians and domain experts to validate model behavior in clinical workflows.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and monitoring for bias, safety, and performance drift.
• Act as technical lead; coach data scientists and influence technical strategy.
• Communicate findings to executives through clear visuals and reports.
