Amazon is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist for the International Seller Services team. Based in Seattle, you will lead the design and deployment of scalable LLM/NLP systems that help global sellers and customers.

You will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers across regions, mentor peers, and drive impactful, data-driven decisions while shaping the future of Amazon’s marketplace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building ML models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s with 6+ years of applied research.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable LLM-based solutions for international seller services.
• Partner with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to drive production-ready solutions.
• Conduct deep data analysis to surface insights and improve seller performance.
• Research and champion state-of-the-art NLP and LLM techniques.
• Act as trusted advisor and guide trade-offs and business impact.
• Mentor scientists and engineers to foster scientific excellence.
