Job summary

Amazon is seeking a machine learning specialist for the Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce team in Bellevue, WA. You will design and deploy innovative NLU/LLM models, work with SQL data, and collaborate with data and software engineers to scale models for large-scale applications.

The role emphasizes mentorship of interns, hands-on ML development, and deployment in production environments, with a focus on re-use and environmental impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate innovative models for NLU/LLM.
• Use SQL to query and analyze data.
• Use Python, Jupyter, and PyTorch to train/test/deploy ML models.
• Create scalable solutions for business problems using ML/analytical techniques.
• Research and implement novel ML and statistical approaches.
• Mentor interns.
• Collaborate with data & software engineering teams to deploy models at large scale.
