Job summary
Nutrien Ag Solutions, the retail division of Nutrien, is seeking a Sr Eng for AN/NA Special Projects in Deerfield. You will craft and drive the nitric acid and nitrate technology strategy, lead technical efforts, and ensure safe, efficient operation across facilities.
Responsibilities include overseeing capital projects, optimizing processes to reduce energy use and emissions, and providing coaching to site teams. A strong background in chemical engineering and process safety is essential.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in nitric acid process technology and catalyst systems.
- Experience leading capital projects from concept to startup.
- Strong knowledge of process safety and incident investigation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute nitric acid and ammonium nitrate technology strategy.
- Provide technical leadership to operating facilities.
- Support safe operation and process optimization of assets.
- Oversee major capital projects including FEED, HAZOP and commissioning.
- Drive energy efficiency, emission reductions, and cost improvements.
- Develop standards and guidelines for nitric acid operations.
