Job summary

Elbit America, Inc. in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design and develop test hardware and software for night-vision sensors.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, optical, software, and system teams to evaluate products and release them to customers. The role requires leading test design efforts, creating test plans and reports, and ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; electrical, mechanical, optical, computer, or software engineering preferred.
• DOD Secret clearance capable or obtainable.
• BS with 5+ years’ experience (or MS with 3+ years’) in test design and development.
• Experience in product qualification and leading a team or project.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain test equipment for all product testing stages.
• Lead design validation testing, manufacturing product validation, and design verification testing.
• Develop requirements, specifications, plans, procedures, and reports for test systems and qualification.
• Create test architecture for fixtures and equipment with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Inform budgets and ensure costs align with budgets.
• Participate in design reviews and provide test-focused feedback.
• Release work documents via appropriate document/change management tools.
• Interface with engineering, program management, and other disciplines to understand scope.
• Research new test technologies and apply them where appropriate.
