Responsibilities

• Develop product/system performance specifications.
• Evaluate and select optimum design alternatives.
• Determine design feasibility and ensure competitive product designs.
• Provide direction on materials and processes for components.
• Lead experiments to evaluate operating characteristics of products or processes.
• Evaluate prototypes and translate results into design criteria.
• Establish production qualification test regime for new systems.
• Conduct computer simulations to test or design products.
• Coordinate with departments and explain technical data to stakeholders.
• Support marketing with technical presentations and customer inquiries.
