Job summary

Montclair State University- NJ PBS seeks an Executive Producer to direct daily news content across broadcast, digital platforms, and live streams. You will plan the nightly newscast, interview shows, and special coverage, guiding editorial direction and ensuring quality across all channels.

You will lead a team, collaborate with the News Director, manage breaking news balance, and uphold public media ethics while coordinating with technical staff to deliver compelling, accurate coverage.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting, or a related field is required.
Minimum of four years of experience in broadcast news production, including rundown management, live newscast and special event program execution.
Demonstrated experience in digital news content production on multiple platforms.
Proficiency with newsroom management systems and broadcast production tools.
Ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced live news environment.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Build and manage the daily rundown and oversee live production of news programs and digital platforms.
Time scripts and segments to appropriate length for each platform.
Coordinate with assignment desk, reporters, anchors, and staff to ensure readiness.
Write and edit scripts and promos for daily programs.
Oversee planning and execution of news content on all platforms.
